King Fahad Academy After-School Cooking Hub
We are really delighted to be offering After-school Cooking Classes for all the primary students at
King Fahad Academy.

We had a brilliant first Spring term at KFA when we ran after-school cooking classes for years 1 & 2 (Tuesdays) and 3 & 4 (Wednesdays)- this Summer Term we are extending to Reception Children (Mondays). We cooked a range of food from Sushi to Coconut & Mango cup-cakes, Blackberry Flapjacks to Blueberry Soda Bread.
The ethos of Mix & Munch is to encourage our cooks to learn and appreciate other cultures through food. We do this by having a country theme each week, and focusing on inter/national festivals. We make dishes with herbs, seeds and spices. We explore the nutritional value of our special ingredient (and where and how its grown) through watching a film clip or doing a quiz. We also find the country on a globe or map and talk about its location/accessibility/climate/food preferences etc.

Your children will bring home what they have cooked as all children love to show their parents what they have achieved. Bookings for the term are open now. Any questions please contact Rachael at hello@mixadmunch.com.
